Cookies Policy
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files that are sent from the website to the user’s computer (usually the browser), where they are stored, and then transferred back to the website the next time the same user uses the website. A cookie may not retrieve any other data from the user’s hard drive, transmit computer viruses, or collect e-mail addresses. Each cookie is unique to your web browser. Some functions of cookies may be delegated to other technologies. In this document, the term “cookie” refers to both cookies themselves and all similar technologies.
Cookies may be used to record information about your preferences, such as browsing pages or downloading files from our website or other similar actions performed during your visit to our website.
COOKIES FROM FIRST OR THIRD PARTY PROVIDERS
When you visit a website, cookies are set both by the site you are visiting (“Owner”) and by other organizations (“Third Parties”).
TYPES OF COOKIES
With regard to the type of cookies, there are different kinds of cookies:
- Technical Cookies
Technical cookies are necessary for navigation or visits, for the proper functioning of the website or for the use of the contents and services offered to the user.
They are not used for other purposes and are usually installed directly by the owner or operator of the website. They can be divided into:
– Navigation or session cookies that ensure normal navigation and use of the Site (e.g. to complete a purchase or authenticate for access to reserved areas); they are essential for the proper functioning of the Site;
– Analytical cookies, which are equivalent to technical cookies when used directly by the website operator to collect information in aggregate form about the number of users and how they visit the website itself, in order to improve the performance of the website;
– Functional cookies, that allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (e.g. language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service they receive. The installation of these cookies does not require the prior consent of the user (for more information, see the section on cookie management below).
- Profiling Cookies
Profiling cookies are used to create user profiles and to send advertising messages according to the user’s preferences when surfing the Web.
The use of profiling cookies requires the consent of the person concerned. According to paragraph 229 of 8 May 2014, the user must be able to give or refuse consent to the installation of profiling cookies if they are present.
In the case of third-party cookies, the Website has no direct control over individual cookies and cannot control them (it cannot install or delete them directly). You can still manage these cookies through your browser settings (see below) or through the websites listed in the “Manage Cookies” section.
The user is therefore requested to consult the website of the third party indicated below.
